Now, American's-for-Prosperity is proud to be partially funded by foundations set up by a Koch brother, just as the Center-for-American-Progress doesn't particularly hide the fact that they are largely funded by Soros' deep pockets. And as long as both sets of wealthy men earned their money honestly, then I don't mind either of them throwing their money away however they like. I figure, if they weren't buying up the price of ads around election time, then we'd not only be subjected to a lot more minutes of political ads, but many traditional media outlets would be a lot less profitable than they are today. (....or is that a good thing?)
But I digress. My point here is that a couple of well written, and in the latter case, personally witnessed articles have come forth to hopefully put to rest the false theory that the Tea Party was not really grass-roots, it was Astroturf. You know as 2012 comes around, this lame accusation to try to discredit Tea Party activists will raise it's ugly head again, along with the really pathetic 'racist' charge that Herman Cain must enjoy so much.
Now as to the 'Astroturf' charge, anyone interested in the true history of that false accusation, just read it from a guy who was there in Chicago in Febuary 2009, and knew all the key players who helped 'water-the-seed' of the Tea Party into a revolutionary aspect of American politics that hopefully has enough influence to steer BOTH political parties back toward fiscal sanity. The guy is Eric Odom, and his witness to the facts is here:
The real story behind the Tea Party
Now if you want to get a deeper understanding of one of the main 'conspiracy-theory' writers who first threw out a 'Astroturf' theory on the Tea Party and tagging the Koch brothers with manufacturing the Turf, then read this article below, if you dare. [Warning, the truth, in his own words, about the original Playboy writer is very disturbing, so reader beware.]
Meet Mark Ames, the eXile
I will write more about the false 'racist' charges parroted by the old-school media in a later post.
